3. Dispatch Assignment

Most dispatch systems select ambulances by proximity. Closest unit gets the call. This ignores everything that actually determines response time: live traffic, building access complexity, vehicle capability (does this case need advanced life support or basic?), and how long it takes to get from the building entrance to the patient.

A smarter approach scores by expected time-to-patient-contact, not distance-to-pin. "Unit 14 — 7 minutes to patient, ALS capability, clear route, ground-floor access" vs "Unit 9 — 4 minutes to building, 12 minutes to patient, restricted lift." The closer unit is actually slower.

The system ranks options. The dispatcher picks. One tap dispatches.

4. Crew Briefing

Today, ambulance crews get a brief radio summary or a few lines on their mobile terminal. They arrive and discover context: what the patient's symptoms are, how to get into the building, which elevator to use.

Discovery on arrival costs minutes. The fix is straightforward: at dispatch, automatically assemble everything from steps 1–3 into a structured data pack and push it to the crew's tablet. Location with entry route. Triage summary with symptom timeline. Red flags. The crew arrives prepared instead of discovering.

5. Pre-Arrival Guidance

While the ambulance is en route, the caller is waiting. A dispatcher might talk them through CPR or bleeding control over the phone. Quality depends on individual recall under pressure. Callers struggle to follow voice-only instructions during a crisis.

The system matches the triage classification to the right protocol from a clinical content library and sends visual step-by-step instructions to the caller's device.
